JJB Cabins was founded in 2016 and named after my pride and joy: Joshua, Johnny, and Brandi. I am a mother of 3 and Mimi to 10 beautiful grandchildren. They are my world and the reason I do what I do.  
 

I bought my property in 2003, immediately bought a boat and quickly became the “Matagorda Fishing Lady”. My children loved coming down, going fishing and sharing so many fun and great memories together.
 

In 2009, my life would change forever - my oldest son, Sgt. Joshua Allen Ward, was killed in Iraq on February 9, 2009. My life stopped at that point. After grieving for some time and reconstructing my new life and figuring out where to go from there, JJB Cabins came to light. I decided to add some cabins to my property and host families, fisherman, beach goers, vacationers etc. I wanted to give families a place to stay, where they could make memories like the ones I had. The love for the beach is what brought us here and I truly am passionate in letting others experience this amazing spot.
